A new law under consideration is the United Kingdom will create criminal penalties for creating “deepfakes” porn, a new type of xxx video that uses an artificial intelligence algorithm to make real looking hardcore videos that appear to star celebrity actresses.

The “deepfakes” AI algorithm pooped up sometime last year on reddit. Videos that superimpose celebrity faces over existing porn scenes have been around for years, but the deepfakes algorithm allows the superimposed celebrity face to make facial expressions and react in realistic ways, adding to the illusion that celebrities like Katy Perry, Angelina Jolie and others have made pornographic videos

The State New York has already proposed a law that would ban deepfakes porn, so its only a matter of time before others follow suite
